Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Doug Pepper.  I have been with InterWest since 2000, investing in software (SaaS), mobile, digital media and consumer Internet companies. I am fortunate to be a board member of BadgevilleCarWoo!, INVIDI, Marketo, Spredfast, Tapjoy, and Varolii.

I also led our investments in OptimizelyFlurry and Lombardi Software (acquired by IBM).   I served as a board observer of Markettools (acquired by SurveyMonkey) and Epocrates (EPOC).  Other prior investments include Bloomspot (acquired by JP Morgan Chase), Brand.net (acquired by Valassis), Schoolfeed (acquired by Classmates.com), Active Reasoning (acquired by Oracle).

Prior to joining InterWest, I worked briefly in business development at Amazon.com. I started my career as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York.  In this role, I also spent time in Hong Kong, working with technology clients in China, India and Korea.

I received my B.A. from Dartmouth College (1995), and my M.B.A. from Stanford University (2000).

I live in Burlingame, CA with my wife, Kim, and our three kids (Andrew - 6, Katie - 5, Molly - 3) and our Golden Retriever (Mak).
